| “2nd
Cup Cafe is absolutely wonderful; the people who
work there, the setting and the food are all first
rate! The variety of food offered is perfect for
a nice breakfast or lunch. I would highly recommend
giving this place a try. You will be back!!”

“I’ve found my promised land. The
owner is great … he knows my name, he knows
your name, he knows that guy's name. He knows
the name of the dog tied to the parking meter
outside. And he has a treat for him. I appreciate
business owners that invest in the community.
Places like 2nd Cup give me hope.”

“A simple, but decidedly more high-end
sandwich and salad menu is a welcome sight, …rounded
out by a superb coffee and tea selection. Oh,
and did I mention the coffee is delicious, the
guys wear chef's jackets, and there's FREE WIFI.”

“Being a freelance writer, I like to think
of this place as my office away from home. A quick
jaunt up the block with my laptop, and I get free
wireless, great coffee, super-friendly service,
and an elegant-yet-chill atmosphere. The big windows
are great for people watching, and in the summer
they open 'em up so you can get some fresh air
while you're typing away.”

“I really like the decoration of this place.
It's classy and conducive to studying. The bathrooms
are clean and very nicely decorated. I was there
for about 3 hours and had 2 pots of Jasmine tea,
1 brownie and the Mediterranean Wrap. It was all
soooo good. And the people who work there are
very friendly.”

“Hospitality is known as the act of generously
providing care and kindness to whoever is in need.
If you look at the wall at 2nd Cup, you see their
definition of hospitality written on it. And it's
the best definition of the word I've heard. 2nd
Cup Café ….a place of tranquility,
calmness, aroma of good coffee, interesting food
and true hospitality.”

“The atmosphere is very pleasant with hardwoods,
exposed brick, gallery artwork, and comfy seating.
Try to get a table in the open windows in the
front for some good people watching.”

“Great coffee and freshly baked muffins
to die for. Especially the poppy seed ones.”

“Great cafe - I love the coffee and scones
(really one of the best scones in town - especially
the blueberry). Lunch menu is also very good -
the falafel dishes all delicious. Owner and staff
all friendly and helpful!”

“Things I love: baklava, coffee drinks,
individual tea pots, Rooibos tea, lovely bathroom
stocked with all kinds of lotions available, enormous
seating area, ham cheese and eggs on a crescent
roll, the location right around the corner from
me.”

“Two words: honey mustard.
Whatever sandwich you get, whatever is on it,
whatever kind of bread you prefer, you need to
get that with some of 2nd Cup’s honey mustard.
It's quite possibly the best condiment ever made
- sweet, spicy, with a light and creamy consistency.
This place is warm and cozy. It’s run by
a man who really cares about his customers. And,
if that wasn't enough, they make a proper hot
chocolate with steamed milk, Ghiradelli chocolate,
a dash of cinnamon and whipped cream. But really
all you need to know about is the honey mustard
and the kind man who is serving it to you.”

“Yummo!! … 2nd Cup Cafe is such a
cute cozy little joint. I have been here for breakfast
and just for a random coffee/tea fix but each
time I am impressed with the number of menu items
and the friendliness of the people behind the
counter. The coffee drinks are good and the owner
knows his teas!! Seriously, ask him some inane
question. Tea nerds like myself will be impressed.”

“This place serves REAL breakfast sandwiches
(as in, they fry up the eggs in a frying pan instead
of poofing them up with a microwave or other freaky
gadget). Plus their coffee is good and the decor
is lovely.”

“The chicken curry is yummy….the
service is great…it feels cozy … really
good energy.”

“2nd Cup is a wonderful place to sit back,
relax and enjoy some very good coffee. The owner
was very warm and kind to us, not to mention the
scone was quite delicious.”

“This is the kind of place to go when you've
just gotten out of a yoga class or received a
massage and you feel like you can't contemplate
eating anything at all unhealthy. The ingredients
2nd Cup uses are obviously high quality and fresh.
I got a falafel and hummus wrap filled with lots
of other veggies. It was hot and tasty and very
filling. The iced tea is extraordinarily good.
You can use your Boston Community change card
here (you get a rebate each time you use it, and
money is donated to a nonprofit.) The soap in
the bathroom is from Trader Joe's. And the people
who work here seem really caring.”
